About the Opportunity

Torbay Lifestyles & Care is seeking casual Hotel Services Workers based in Hervey Bay, QLD.

As a Hotel Services Worker, you will work under the guidance of experienced staff to gain the skills and knowledge required to provide quality care to older people. 

A varied role where no two days are the same, you will be required to assist in all our hospitality areas, doing any number of the following duties:

• Food preparation for cooking and services
• Serving meals and ensuring a friendly, interactive dining experience for residents
• Ensuring stock is labelled, rotated, and used to minimise food wastage
• Rubbish removal, dishwashing, and general cleaning
• Vacuuming, mopping, and polishing floors
• Dusting, polishing, and general tidying
• Cleaning bathroom facilities
• Laundering, pressing/ironing, and folding items such as linen and residents' garments

Opportunities for successful candidates to be offered permanent part-time roles where available. 

About You

To be successful you will be passionate about making a positive impact, and enjoy interacting with older people. 

The following skills and background will be highly valued:

• Previous hospitality experience (desirable)
• Reliability, and shift flexibility
• Willingness to take direction from others
• Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• Demonstrated excellence in customer service
