About the Opportunity

Torbay is seeking experienced Personal Care Workers who are motivated, enthusiastic, compassionate and have a desire to work in an aged care residential setting.  Applicants will have strong communication skills, be computer literate and possess the ability to work in a team as well as independently.  Sound interpersonal skills and a commitment to a continuous improvement approach is also required. We are currently seeking Casual and Part Time Personal Care Workers with varied availability (overnight preferred).

About You

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications and experience are essential: 

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care).
• Experience in Person Centered support and a willingness to undertake on-going training.
• Demonstrated up-to-date knowledge and skills in contemporary aged care services.
• Previous experience working in a dementia unit (desirable).
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to work under the direction and supervision of either a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Standards and accreditation process.
• An understanding of infection control, WHS and safe work practices.
• Current satisfactory Police Certificate.
